Report Templates

Templates are used to adjust the PDF output of the report.

Here is an example of a simple report, where we have given the report a title, selected two fields, and defined a date range for the report.

As you can see, the default PDF output shows all the records combined in a table.

Sometimes you want a coverpage for your report, for example:

This can be achieved using the Template Cover Page field


TCPDF that is used for the PDF generation only allows very basic HTML and CSS, so you are somewhat limited as to the formatting allowed.

You can insert {date} to include the date that the PDF was generated on.

You can make the report look even fancier using the other advanced template fields.

The above is achieved with the following settings.

Fields in your answer table that you want inserted into your report should be enclosed in square brackets, for example [favourite_pet]
